What Is STOP-NIC?

STOP-NIC is a Medicated, Sugar-Free Nicotine Chewing Gum containing Pharmaceutical grade Nicotine Polacrilex USP that supports smokers in their efforts to stop smoking.   It works on the principle of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT).

Why should I use STOP-NIC?

STOP-NIC supports you in your endeavor to stop smoking by reducing and soothing the withdrawal symptoms and nicotine cravings that are associated with quitting.

How does STOP-NIC work

STOP-NIC works by supplying a pharmaceutical grade of Nicotine (Nicotine Polacrilex USP)  in a much lower quantity than cigarettes, which, when used in a tapered program, allows your  body to adjust to having lesser nicotine until you no longer need any and thus helps you quit smoking completely.

What dosage of STOP-NIC is right for me?

STOP-NIC is available in strengths: 2 and 4 mg. The 2 mg is available as an over-the-counter (OTC) product and recommended for those who smoke less than 20 cigarettes per day.

The 4 mg strength, which is available only on the prescription of a physician, is recommended for those who smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day.

Use according to the following 12-week schedule:

Weeks 1–6 Weeks 7–9 Weeks 10–12
One piece of gum every 1–2 hours One piece of gum every 2–4 hours One piece of gum every 4–8 hours

Do NOT use more than 24 pieces of STOP-NIC in a day.

How to chew STOP-NIC gum?

The method of chewing the gum is not the same as that for ordinary chewing gum. Use the following steps to ensure maximum benefit from the gum.

Step-1: Chew it slowly till you get the taste of Nicotine

Step-2: Park the gum between your cheek and gums

Step-3: When the taste fades, repeat step 1

Is STOP-NIC sugar-free?

Yes. STOP-NIC is formulated with artificial sugar flavors and is completely sugar free!   Currently STOP-NIC is available as a Coated Gum in a Refreshing and Intense Mint flavor with Teeth Whitening.

Why do I have to wait for 15 minutes after eating or drinking to use STOP-NIC?

Eating or drinking beverages immediately before using or during use of STOP-NIC inhibits nicotine absorption into your bloodstream. Hence, it is recommended waiting 15 minutes after eating or drinking before using STOP-NIC.

If Nicotine is the problem, why should I use NRT?

The active ingredient in STOP-NIC is a low dose of Pharmaceutical grade Therapeutic Nicotine that is gradually absorbed by your body to help reduce Nicotine withdrawal symptoms, such as cigarette cravings, depression, insomnia, irritability, anxiety and restlessness.  Cigarettes deliver Nicotine into your body along with over 7,000 chemicals, of which around 69 are known carcinogens.  STOP-NIC supports you in your effort to gain freedom from smoking by gradually reducing your dependence on Nicotine through a tapered program.

Can I use STOP-NIC if I am on any other medication?

Any question about drug interactions between medications should be answered by your physician or other healthcare professionals.  Please talk to your doctor if you are taking other medications.

Can I use STOP-NIC if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, only use STOP-NIC on the advice of your Physician.

Does STOP-NIC stick to dentures or dental work?

Any chewing gum by its very nature, may stick to dental caps or partial bridges, so please consult your Dentist if you feel any discomfort while chewing the gum.
